Phuket to Phi Phi Ferry & Speedboat

Phuket Information

Phuket to Phi Phi Ferry & Speedboat

Phuket Ferries run frequently to and from Phuket mostly from Rassada Pier, although some trips between Phuket and Phi Phi Island will use the Sea Angel Pier. You can easily reach amazing places such as Phi Phi Island, Krabi Town, Ao Nang, Railay Bay and Lanta Island in just a short time with very little hassle. Ferry travel between islands is so simple now that it's really a must do for your vacation - there are some really precious destinations for you to encounter. The ferry boats are large and well maintained, holding up to 400 passengers per trip. You've got options on where to sit - out on the ferry boat deck or inside the boat which is a little more comfortable. If you're out on the boat deck, beware the power of the sun, which is increased by the glare from the sea water! Phuketferry.com has good relationships with the speedboat & ferry companies. You will need to print out your e-ticket and show it to the speedboat & ferry boat staff, but they are very familiar with us. They'll simply take your ticket and put a destination sticker on you. Then you're good to go, so enjoy your trip. Don't forget to check our speedboat & ferry Travel Tips so that you're well prepared. Bon voyage!

A Phuket Overview

Phuket, known as the "Pearl of the Andaman Sea" - truly one pearl of great value! At 21km wide and 48km long, Phuket is Thailand's largest and most popular tourist island. Blessed with pristine tropical waters, awesome sandy beaches and coves, and a cultural variety of resorts and hotels, no wonder everyone wants to be here. Yet inland Phuket is just as fantastic, with old town rustic Sino-Portuguese architecture, authentic spicy Thai food restaurants and local Phuket hospitality. Getting around this island can be the most memorable travel experience of your life! One of the best ways to get to and from Phuket is by passenger ferry, and you can be assured of great customer service with PhuketFerry.com.

Phuket Highlights

Phuket Beaches

Beaches
A rich assortment of tropical beaches with soft sand and rolling waves. Among the more popular are the lively Patong Beach, local favourite Kata Beach, picturesque Nai Harn and Ya Nui beaches, the expansive Karon Beach, and the serene Nai Yang beach in the north near the airport. However, inquisitive explorers arise and take to your mopeds, there are many hidden coves known to the locals, yet waiting for your discovery!

Phuket Getting Around

Getting Around
Little red Tuk-Tuks swarm around the main touristy areas and will test your shrewd bargaining skills! We'd suggest you arrive at around half the original "quoted" fare (Patong to Phuket Town is around 400 Baht). Motorcycle taxis are half the price. Hey, if you're brave enough you can rent your own little moped and whiz round the hotspots - don't forget your helmet though!

Phuket Bhu-Kit!

Bhu-Kit!
The name "Phuket" comes from the old Malay word seen above, which means "hill". Pretty accurate when considering 70% of this island is mountainous - perfect for ATV quad biking, elephant trekking and cable riding! There are also amazing viewpoints that provide incredible ocean/sunset views (Promthep Cape, Kata Viewpoint and Khao Khad to name just three).

Phuket Culture

Culture
When in Phuket, you're guaranteed warm Thai hospitality, a smile and a traditional 'wai' greeting. Yet Phuket is a hotpot of cultures, with old town Sino-Portuguese architecture, Chinese influences from the 19th century tin-mining era, and the many Thai provinces who's people have come to bring their ethnic flavour to the tourism industry in Phuket.
