Things to Know

Speed Boat: Pakbara Pier - Koh Tarutao Pier

The main pier of Koh Tarutao is located on Ao Phante Melaka at Taruatao National Marine Park, where the National Park Office is located, and it is where the boats mainly depart and stop.  Tarutao is a national park in the Andaman Sea, in the Malacca Strait in the district of Satun province south of the national park. Only 4.8 km from the Thai-Malaysian border, Tarutao National Park is a popular tourist destination. It is a combination of natural beauty of both land and water. The rich forest is home to many wildlife. The water is beautiful with colorful coral reefs. The island consists of 51 small islands and 931,250 rai or 1,490 square kilometers. Make sure to arrive at the check in points at least 30 minutes earlier for a smoother boarding process. The fast boat staff will be nearby to guide you through. Make sure that you have your printed e-ticket on hand.
