From Phuket New Bus Station to Nathon Pier by bus/minivan+ferry
Nathon Pier is Koh Samui’s main pier, you will find many trips from the pier to many of the amazing nearby islands such as Koh Tao, the local dive capital, and Koh Phangan.
You will also find a variety of tour desks, restaurants, banks, and hotels.
There is no direct way from Phuket to Koh Samui, you have to take a bus or a private minivan from Phuket New Bus Station, to take you to Donsak Pier near Surat Thani which will take 7 Hrs 30 Mins, and from there you will take a ferry to Nathon Pier and this trip takes about 7 Hrs 30 Mins.
The whole trip costs 640 THB, and because it’s a joint-ticket, the ticket price includes both the bus/minivan and the ferry trip.
From Phuket Town to Nathon Pier
In Phuket Town the bus will be waiting for you to take you to Tapee Pier in Surat Thani, this trip will take 6 Hrs 15 Mins, and then you’ll take a ferry to Nathon Pier in Koh Samui, the ferry trip will take 6 Hrs 15 Mins and the whole trip will cost you 1,300 THB.
From Phuket International Airport to Nathon Pier

Best time to visit
The climate is humid and warm most of the year, Samui’s weather is relatively drier than Phuket and the rest of southern Thailand. February and March are the sunniest and driest months. Late December to April is the best time for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, and suntanning.
