Tran Train Station started operating in April 1913 on the Southern line section between Kantang and Huai Yot. It was constructed by the French Public Works Department and is now overseen and managed by the State Railway of Thailand. The station is located in Thap Thiang subdistrict, Mueang Trang district in Southern Thailand. The station gets very busy during peak holiday season in July and August, and there are few facilities in the station like a large waiting area, convenience store, parking lots, and three mobile toilets. You will find privately operated kiosks selling beverages and snacks on the main train platform. There are always plenty of taxis waiting outside the station to take you to your hotel.
