From Phuket to Phi Phi: Island-Hopping Adventures


Phi Phi island is known for its natural beauty, with the stunning turquoise waters and limestone cliffs. Koh Phi Phi archipelago (sometimes written Ko Pi Pi) is a group of six islands in the Andaman Sea. The only inhabited island is Ko Phi Phi Don.

From Phi Phi, you can take day trips to Koh Lanta, or Bamboo island by long tail boat. Viking Cave, on Koh Phi Phi Leh is also a possible destination. You can also take advantage of the treasures of the Koh Phi Phi National Park (Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park). Unless you prefer to relax on one of the beautiful beaches, such as Loh Dalum Beach.

The only mode of transportation on the island is on foot. The island isn’t big and you will find how easy it is. Everything is less than a 30 minute walk.


From Phuket to Phi Phi Islands by boat


There are three piers in Phuket from where you can find your direct ferry or speedboat to Phi Phi. While there are two piers in Koh Phi Phi. Tonsai Pier is the main pier on Koh Phi Phi Don, and Laemtong Bay. This pier is not an actual pier, it’s a natural bay that serves only a few resorts.


From Rassada Pier to Tonsai Pier


Rassada Pier serves as Phuket's primary harbor, boasting a multitude of ferry and speedboat departures to Tonsai Pier on a daily basis.

There are ferries departing from 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM afternoon. The ferry trip takes around 50 mins and costs 420 THB “ the price does not include 200 THB entry fees in Phi Phi”.

The speedboat is a faster way to reach the island yet it’s more expensive but if you are a group then this trip fits you well.

From Rassada Pier to Laemtong Bay


The ferry departs Rassada Pier to reach Laemtong Bay in 1 hrs 30 mins. This trip costs 700 THB. The price does not include 200 THB entry fees in Phi Phi.


From Sea Angel Pier to Tonsai Pier


Sea Angel Pier is located near Phuket town just 10 minutes away. Ferries leave this pier at 9:00 AM and arrive at Phi Phi around 11:00 AM.

The ferry trip takes 2 hrs to reach Tonsai Pier and costs 650 THB.


From Numchai Pier to Tonsai Pier
